This website is for everyone in Nelson, including people who use screen readers, keyboards or magnifiers, and people on slow connections.
How it’s built
- It is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
- Every page works with a keyboard and with screen readers.
- Text can be enlarged in your browser without anything being cut off.
- Text and buttons meet the guidelines’ colour contrast levels.
- If your device is set to reduce motion, nothing on the site moves.
- Pages are small, so they load on slow rural connections, and the voting page prints cleanly.
